RESETTING VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION CURRICULUM PROVISION FOR NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN NIGERIA

Nigeria is faced with numerous problems which pose a serious threat to the economic development of the country if not tackled. The problems range from persistent poverty level to uncontrolled unemployment among others which can only be met through re setting vocational and technical education. It is strongly believed that no nation can progress without investing and developing vocational and technical education, but unluckily Nigeria has neglected this aspect of education and that is why we are into this present situation of economic breakdown. This paper resetting’s vocational and technical education curriculum for economic sustainability and national development examined the concept and importance of vocational and technical education, it identified the need to reposition program and how to reposition it. It also went ahead and recognized some problems facing it and strategies ways of improving the system.
